How it all started
First location in Staré mesto opened at Gajova street in September 2005 with class of 6 kids, that grew by December to 20.

2nd location in Horský park
Kindergarten classes in Horský park opened as part of school.
2010
Building in Horský park inquired for future Cambridge International School (CIS)
Future Úprkova CIS campus, formerly used as Children Hospital at Úprkova street is acquired and reconstruction as well as new campus development starts.
2012
Joining forces
Funiversity officially established as Cambridge International School Kindergarten.
2013
CIS moving from Devín to Horský park
School (formerly Forel International) is moved from Devín to new reconstructed building at Úprkova 3.
2016
1st CIS graduate admitted to Cambridge University
First CIS graduate successfully admitted to Cambridge University

Horský park location moving from CIS to new building
Horský park location moved to separate building on Bohúňova street, right next to CIS.
2018
3rd location in Mlynská dolina
Extending by new location in Mlynská dolina (overtook Little Kitten).
2020
New campus for CIS Secondary school completed
New building at Úprkova 1 was added to the CIS campus.
2020
4th location in Koliba
New location at Koliba has been opened (formerly Blueberry Hill).
2022
First former Funiversity students returning via DoFE program
CIS students returning to Funiversity as volunteers for DoFE program.
2024
Celebrating 20 years
Funiversity enter in to 20th year since it opened in September 2024.

New Cambridge Creativity Centre
CIS opened new premisses at Búdkova street known as Cambridge Creativity Centre.
2029
The future is bright
CIS has its eyes set on opening new campus at Patronka in 2028/29 as we are looking forward to open 5th location, continuing to raise self-confident and bright young humans, and enjoy ourselves on the way.
